My name is Stella, I am 22 and from Darlington. I have been involved with sport since I was very young and have competed in a wide variety of sports throughout the years. My love of sport inspired me to complete my undergraduate degree in Sport and Exercsie Science and start my postgraduate degree in Strategic Sport Marketing, both at Leeds Beckett University.
I currently play hockey competitively and like to go to the gym regularly. I have my Level 2 Fitness Instructing qualification and am interested in getting my Level 3 Personal Training qualification in the future. Pre-pandemic, I really enjoyed attending live sports as I love the atmosphere and the overall excitement of being at the event. I also have experience working in this environment as I worked at The Open Championships for two years as a Scoreboard Operator. I support Newcastle United Football Club (unfortunately) so have been watching their matches on television throughout the pandemic, along with a lot of rugby, UFC and boxing.
In the future I would love to travel and experience living in different places. In terms of job prospects, I’m still not 100% sure what I would like to do but I am really enjoying all of the modules in the Masters and would possibly like to tie it in with something to do with Nutrition as I enjoyed studying that at undergraduate level.
