Meet The Team – Isaac Pickett

I’m Isaac, a 22 year old student studying for a Masters in Sport Business Management at Leeds Beckett University. Having studied business through my academic career, as well as being introduced to sport at a young age, there was a natural progression to study Sport Business at a postgraduate level. I hope to further develop my skills to prepare myself for industry. Also, being disabled has given me a different prospective on the sport industry and how sport can be used as a social tool to change lives.

I am an avid Rugby League and Rugby Union fan, so when the opportunity arose to play for Leeds Rhinos Physical Disability Rugby League (PDRL) side, I was eager to get involved. While being involved with the Leeds Rhinos PDRL I have played with people from all different backgrounds and disabilities who play the sport they love while keeping themselves fit and active. With the knowledge gained through my masters course, plus the experiences I have undertaken a Leeds Rhinos PDRL, I hope to work within a sport club’s foundation to improve and enable people to change their lives through the power of sport.
