Hi, I’m Cameron and I’m 21 years old. I am currently undertaking my Masters Degree in Strategic Sports Marketing at Leeds Beckett University having recently graduated with a First Class Honours in Sports Business Management for my Undergraduate Degree from the same University.
I was born and raised in Lincolnshire on the East Coast. Sport plays a big role within my life, with hockey being my favourite sport and the sport in which I participate in. I am the captain of the Men’s Hockey 1st team at Leeds Beckett and look forward to leading the team ahead of the upcoming BUCS season, in which we play in the North Premier League, which is the second highest league in the country. I also play for Leeds Hockey Club Men’s 1st team on the weekends, meaning that a lot of my time throughout the week is taken up by and dedicated to hockey. I also enjoy watching football, with Arsenal being the team I support (unfortunately); when I was younger I used to attend a few of the home games as my Grandad was a season ticket holder, so would regularly take me with him to watch the matches. I enjoy socialising with my friends and family and spend the majority of my free time with them.
When I am back home from University I work as a Sports Coach, delivering sessions to children in a variety of sports such as cricket, hockey and tennis. I am not entirely sure what career pathway or job I wish to enter and pursue after University once I have completed my Masters degree, however, I do want to work within the sports industry as it interests me and sport is something that I am very passionate about and so working within this industry would allow me to have a job doing something I love.
