Audio Podcast- An Analysis of New Audiences in a Newer Sport Media Ecology

This podcast analyses and talks about the impact that digital media has had on audiences, in regards to their behaviour and how it has altered in the new sport media ecology. The podcast discusses the creation and emergence of new audiences that have come about within the sporting landscape; namely E-sports audiences and multi-channel transmedia audiences. A particular focus is paid to how these two new audiencesbehaviours and consumption patterns and how they work and differ from traditional sports audiences. The podcast also examines the affects social media has had on sports audiences and how it has changed and influenced their consumption habits and preferences. In addition to this, how influencers and brands use social media to impact audiences is also mentioned within the podcast. Overall, the podcast addresses how sports audiences have changed in line with the developments in digital media.
