Following on from my audio podcast, which myself and Sheffield United Women’s Bex Rayner discussed the past, present and future media ecology in Women’s Football, this video podcast looks further into the future of media ecology in women’s football. More specifically, I look to explore digital media and how it can be used as a platform to grow awareness and attraction to women’s football leagues, clubs, and players.
Throughout this series of blogs and podcasts, we have looked at past, present and future media ecology, with gender inequality in media being a theme throughout. Rather than talking about the past, it is important to focus on the future, as the growth of women’s sport over the previous few years has created an excitement for what the future can hold.
Take a look at the YouTube video below, which examines the skeleton of digital media usage for Women’s Football to build upon!
