About Myself:
Hey, I’m Todd, a 21-year-old postgraduate student at Leeds Beckett University, studying an MSc in Strategic Sport Marketing. My previous undergraduate degree in Marketing and Business Management from Keele University provided me with a clear understanding of marketing concepts, the ability to create marketing plans, and insights in consumer behavior, thanks to several relevant modules I completed. Additionally, it equipped me with knowledge about various aspects of business operations, including organizational goals, research and development, human resources, and overall management. I successfully graduated with a 2:1 degree classification in July 2023, and i have great memories of the day, even though it was raining. I am eager to apply these skills to the sports industry, especially in the areas of social media and advertising.
Why Sport?
Since 2009 when I first started watching Formula 1 I fell in love with the sporting world, wanting to understand every detail that went into how the sport has become what it is today. Within Formula 1, Lewis Hamilton is the driver I support the most with Max Verstappen now becoming my worst nightmare. However, even though I have been watching Formula 1 every other Weekend for the past 14 years, Football, and in particular, Arsenal has taken over my life and my emotions with many ups and downs occurring over the many years that I have supported them for. Though it is difficult to get hold of tickets I will make sure i can watch them play no matter what and in the future the dream to work for Arsenal is something I would Love to achieve.
After finishing my undergraduate degree I realized that what I really wanted to do was to streamline and combine my passion for Marketing along with my love for Sport, so this postgraduate course in Strategic Sport Marketing is the perfect path for me to achieve this goal.
